There are two reasons for the holding capacity of c-brakes to roll over disc brakes

Replacing the top-level c-brake with a disc brake is almost equivalent to changing a car. The frame set, wheel set and even the gear change have to be changed, and there are very few disc brakes in terms of models;

Another is that disc brakes are generally more expensive than c-brakes. For road cars, brakes are just a deceleration tool, and normal use does not require the strong braking force of disc brakes.
