WHAT IS THE T47 BOTTOM BRACKET?
T47 bottom bracket uses the frame dimensions of PressFit 30: a 68mm wide bottom bracket shell for road bikes and 73mm wide for mountain bikes. The inner diameter of the shell is 46mm. The major change is that the shell is actually threaded.
T47 combines the benefits of a large bottom bracket shell, a larger area for the down tube and seat stays to be welded onto, with the threads that many riders prefer over a pressed system. From a frame builder’s perspective, this makes a lot of sense.
T47 is a newer bottom bracket shell design, utilizing the oversized interface of PF30 and EVO386, but with the benefit and peace of mind of a threaded interface.
We’ll look at some of the characteristics of the T47 system.
Think of T47 as a larger version of traditional and well-loved BSA threaded BB shells. T47 bottom bracket shells actually start life as standard 46mm inner diameter shells and are then threaded to M47x1.0mm. Much like a BSA shell, the right, or drive side, of the shell is left hand thread, and the left side, or non-drive side, of the shell is right hand thread.
Inside Tip: If you have a customer with a creaky metal PF30 or 386EVO frame you may be able to run T47 taps through it and install a more secure T47 bottom bracket.

Our Titanium gravel frame is built with a CNC shaped head tube to which it is possible to combine 1 “½ or 1” ¼ forks with headset with external cups and in different sizes. The bottom bracket uses a T47 standard. The frame can be optionally equipped with mechanical or electronic/wireless group sets.
It is an artisanal product, made according to the requests of each customer, meaning a fully custom geometry. It is possible to send us a bike fit report or alternatively follow our instructions to complete our measurement form.
